Electrical work done badly is dangerous — not just inconvenient. At Cornerstone Build Ghana, all electrical work is carried out by qualified electricians to ECG standards, with every job documented, warranted and priced in advance. No guesswork. No safety shortcuts.
Also known as electrician Accra, licensed electrician Ghana, electrical installation Accra services — all covered under one fixed-price Cornerstone contract.
Complete wiring for new builds and major renovations. First-fix conduit and wiring runs, second-fix fittings, distribution boards and ECG meter connection. Fully compliant and documented.
Tripping breakers, dead sockets, flickering lights, earth faults and overloaded circuits. We diagnose accurately and fix safely — no guesswork, no temporary patches.
Older properties in Accra often have dangerous or inadequate wiring. Full or partial rewiring carried out methodically with minimal disruption, using quality PVC-insulated cables throughout.
Floodlights, perimeter lighting, sensor lighting and garden lighting. IP-rated fittings for Ghana's weather, properly earthed and fused on dedicated circuits.
Three-phase installations, distribution board upgrades, power factor correction, emergency lighting and fire alarm wiring for commercial and industrial clients.
Changeover switches, inverter installation, battery bank wiring and solar panel circuit integration. Safe, code-compliant backup power systems for homes and businesses.
Substandard electrical work is Ghana's leading cause of residential fires. Undersized cables, loose connections, overloaded circuits and unprotected wiring are common — and deadly. The cost of a proper electrical installation is a fraction of the cost of a fire.
At Cornerstone, every electrical job uses the correct cable size for the load, proper earthing, appropriately rated circuit breakers and ECG-compliant fittings. We document everything and provide a written warranty on every installation.
Seeing any of these? Don't wait. WhatsApp Kwaku a photo today — electrical faults are safety emergencies.
A complete electrical installation for a 3-bedroom house in Accra typically runs GHS 15,000–35,000 depending on the number of points, fittings specified and whether three-phase supply is required. Individual fault repairs start from GHS 300–1,500. We provide a fixed-price quote after assessing your specific requirements.
We handle all internal wiring to the meter position. ECG connection to the street supply must be applied for through ECG directly — we advise you on what's needed and ensure your installation is ready for the ECG inspection.
Yes — we install inverter systems, battery banks, changeover switches and solar panel circuit wiring. We don't supply the solar panels themselves but we work with your panel supplier to ensure safe and compliant integration.
For urgent electrical faults (no power, safety hazards), we aim to visit within 24–48 hours. WhatsApp Kwaku directly with a description of the problem for the fastest response.

Ghana's Energy Commission requires electrical installations to be carried out by licensed electrical contractors. More importantly, substandard wiring is one of the leading causes of residential fires in Ghana. Every cable used in a Cornerstone project carries the Ghana Standards Authority mark — we never install unlabelled or non-GSA-approved cable, regardless of cost pressure.
Ask for their Energy Commission licence number and verify it is current. The Energy Commission maintains a register of licensed electrical contractors. Unlicensed electrical work is illegal, creates insurance complications, and is a fire and safety risk.
A 5kW grid-tied solar system (panels, inverter, installation) costs GHS 35,000–55,000 in 2026. Adding battery backup (for power during grid outages) adds GHS 18,000–35,000. A properly-sized system for a standard 3–4 bedroom house in Accra covers 60–80% of electricity consumption.
A 3-bedroom house with air conditioning typically needs a 15–20 kVA generator. Without air conditioning, 10–12 kVA is usually sufficient. Factor in starting current for AC compressors — the starting load is 2–3x the running load. An automatic transfer switch (ATS) connects your generator automatically when grid power fails: cost GHS 3,500–8,500.
Make sure you have the right information before committing to any construction project in Ghana. These are our most-read guides:
We visit your plot at no charge and no obligation. During the site visit we assess soil conditions (critical for foundation type and cost), confirm plot dimensions, evaluate access for materials delivery, and identify any site-specific constraints that will affect the build. This visit is what makes our quote accurate rather than estimated — and it costs you nothing.
Your quote lists every material item (quantity and unit cost), every labour operation, supervision, professional fees, permit fees, and contingency — separately. You can compare every line against current market prices. We do not use lump-sum estimates. Transparency is how we earn trust and verify value simultaneously.
Once you are ready to proceed, we sign a fixed-price construction contract before any money changes hands. The contract specifies: the complete scope of work; the fixed contract sum; the payment schedule (tied to milestones, not dates); the completion timeline; and a 6-month workmanship warranty. The price in the contract is the price you pay — it cannot be changed without a signed change order agreed by both parties.
Your crew is assigned exclusively to your project — not shared across four or five other sites. Each day, your dedicated project manager sends WhatsApp site photographs from the build. This is particularly important for diaspora clients who cannot visit the site regularly — you see exactly what is being built, at what stage, in real time. If any issue arises on site, you hear from us before it becomes a problem.
Payments are released against verified construction milestones, not against calendar dates. Our standard residential schedule: 30% on contract signing and site mobilisation; 40% on completion of structural works (foundation, walling, slab, and roofing); 30% on practical completion and handover. You do not pay for the next phase until the previous phase is confirmed complete — protecting your money throughout the project.
Every Cornerstone project carries a 6-month written workmanship warranty from handover date. Any defect in our workmanship — cracked plaster, roof leak at a junction we installed, failing tile adhesion, faulty fitting — is corrected at our cost within the warranty period. We provide this warranty in writing because we are confident in our work. We can also provide references from clients who have tested the warranty and confirm it was honoured without dispute.
ECG-compliant. Qualified electricians. Fixed price. Written 6-month warranty. Safe electrical work is not optional — and neither is getting it quoted properly.
